Christian D. Gorycki

Tuckahoe - With deep sadness, we inform you that Christian Daniel Gorycki of Tuckahoe, New York, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 19, 2021. Christian is survived by his wife Erica, children Claudia, Ellen, and Michael, Lydia (mother), Adrian (brother), Ginger(niece). Christian was also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his father Michael Gorycki.

Christian Gorycki earned a BS and MS at Fordham University and a M aster of Arts in Teaching at Manhattanville College.

For over two decades, Christian Gorycki has been a strong and quiet force within Eastchester High School, teaching most recently Advanced Science Research. His knowledge, curiosity, and compassion were his hallmarks and unsurpassed. Christian had a significant and positive impact on both staff and students for many years. He was also employed at Westchester Hebrew High School, teaching Chemistry and lab courses. He encourages students to explore the world of Science both in the classroom and through independent research.

As a legacy in life, what brought Christian the most joy were his three children. They often enjoyed Science questions and commentary over meals, and he imparted his love of Science continually. Christian was an avid numismatist, and he shared his love of coins with the children as they began their coin collections. Family time was very important to Christian; one of his favorite activities was a bonfire in the backyard. With loving memories as the bonfire light continues to shine, Christian's love will be with us eternally.

In lieu of flowers, and considering education was of the utmost importance to Christian, please consider a contribution to the children's 529 plan. (www.ugift529.com) Code B5D-G8K
