Woman From Columbus, Ga., Dies In Fall On Pigeon Mountain

A 40-year-old woman from Columbus, Ga. was killed in a fall while rappelling on Pigeon Mountain in Walker County. 

It was reported the woman was on a church retreat and had two sons with her, who were not hurt. 

She suffered head trauma in the 30-foot fall at the popular Rocktown climbing area.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will be handling the autopsy.
