There's a lot going on around us. There's a lot that directly involves us and still more that begs our intervention or contribution. We can be easily distracted. The risk of distraction is that tasks can be left incomplete.
It's vital that we accept responsibility for the emotional clutter of our own making.
Motivation pales into something approaching insignificance when seen alongside result. The cause is something to be examined after the effect is dealt with. Individuals must own their actions.
The problem is that we live in a Teflon society where it's generally recognised that nothing sticks. It's a relatively simple matter to find an excuse; something or someone to blame. Everything is shifted, nothing is resolved. And so society's standards decline further.
No guts, no glory. And while acceptance of personal responsibility is more than difficult, it's nowhere near as complicated as making reparation.
It takes effort to do the right thing. Everything begins with frank reassessment; honest self- appraisal. And that must be followed by a determination to change; to improve; to grow.
Life is both a journey and a process. Everyone has the potential to make a difference.
