Chittorgarh Wiki — Chittorgarh is land of the Chittor Fort, a king of the local Maurya dynasty, the largest fort in India, Asia. The Chittor fort seated on a 180 metre hill, covers an expanse of 700 acres. It was the site of three major war in 1303, 1535, and 1567–1568 by Muslim attackers. Rajput rulers fought to maintain their dignity and independence. Chittor also has been a land of worship for Meera, Maharana pratap.

Chittor Fort: Kirti Stamba & adbhbhutnath temple: Kirti Stambh tower is dedicated to Adinathji who was the first of the Jain Thirthakaras. It was built by a merchant, decorated with figures form the Jain pantheon.

Vijay stamba: Vijay Stambh is a very big nine storey tower with 122 ft hight which was built by Maharana Kumbha, In the victory memory over the Muslim rulers of Malwa and Gujarat in 1440. sculptures and carvings on the exterior walls of the tower. The tower is visible from any section of the town below. And from the tower top after climbing 157 steps, there is a great arial view of the surroundings. The inside walls of the vijay stamba tower are carved with images of Gods, weapons, etc.

Meera bai Temple: Meera Bai was known for her great devotion to Lord Krishna & also for her great bhajans.

Rana Kumbha’s Palace: Rana Kumbha Palace belong to greatest kings and queen.

Kalika Mata Temple: The temple was built in the 8th century, dedicated for Sun God. it was converted to a temple for mother Goddess, Kali in 14th century.
