Alice E. (Zucowska) Peloquin

It is with great sadness the family of Alice E. (Zucowska) Peloquin announces her passing from this world to God on January 13, 2021.

Born on Jan. 19, 1925 in Boston, MA to parents Martin and Adeline (Sartini) Zucowska. Pre-deceased by brothers, James (Sonny) Martin and John Zucowska.

She married her husband James J. Peloquin July 31, 1948 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Cambridge, MA. They were a devoted couple for 42 years until his passing in August 1995.

Leaves 3 children James (Jimmy) Peloquin, (wife Mindy) of Hudson, NH. Denise Peloquin of Mashpee, MA and Coral Johnson, (husband Arthur) of Nashua, NH.

Leaves 3 Grandchildren: Jim Peloquin, (wife Melinda) of Tyngsboro, MA, Michael A. Johnson of Charleston, SC and Alyssa E. Johnson of Nashua, NH.

Also leaves 3 Great-grandchildren: Jamie Peloquin, Sam Peloquin and Maze Johnson and several nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Girls High School in Boston, she worked for the Army-Air Force as a secretary and an accountant. In later years she held positions as an office manager.

Alice and Jim lived in Belmont and Chelmsford MA: In retirement they lived in Indian Shores, FL and Seabrook, NH. During the last 9 years she lived with her daughter Coral, son-in-law Artie and Dizzy the dog in Nashua NH.

She loved the beach and taking long walks with Dad, trips to the mountains, and long drives to anywhere. She loved going to restaurants, especially in Boston’s North End and eating lobster rolls.

She had a sharp mind to the end. Loved reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards and watching cop shows. She was a big Boston sports fan. Mom was an excellent cook and made the best spaghetti sauce. Christmas dinner was very special as she made homemade Italian raviolis, a recipe she learned from her grandmother (Big Mama).

She cherished her grand-children and great-grandchildren who affectionately called her Big Mama.

She was strong in her Catholic faith and a very prayerful woman. She loved her family dearly and everyone who new her felt her love and caring way. She always had a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor.

A Funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road in Nashua, NH on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. All may meet at church. Burial will be private.
