they don't want another 4 years of Biden

What's wrong with Biden specifically? I don't understand the obsession with the Republican party and the woman's anatomy (and it used to not be this case especially in the Reagan years - who inked 3M green card amnesty for illegals) and why would any woman vote "R" presently. Trump can't even keep a casino afloat. I mean in the history of casinos Trump is one of the few.....very few cases of a casino going under. Abortion is legal nationally in Japan.

GA? Fani Willis is back on the case. It's simply delayed in NYC. Pence is not endorsing Trump. Should have chosen a sane Republican, but you can't call it Republican....it's now the Trump party. And the RNC is now the TNC with Lara. What have you MAGA people done?

Then what exactly will they do in Japan? And what are they doing in Thailand?... because when I went there I saw plenty of BYDs

BYD sold 30,432 cars in Thailand last year

(news source)

Now it's time to focus on the Thai market and I don't hear any mass whining from BYD owners in Thailand.

if you read the comments written by Japanese you will see what they think about BYD!

So? Are these real customers? FB? Seriously? I checked.real sources like TopGear and they say it's a decent (enough) and cheap (enough) to go around town shopping and taking mom to the doctor like a decent car share solution. They are improving as the months go by. Are we talking Autobahn with a Lamborghini? Or touring through Africa via Toyota Land Cruiser? That's something else.

I didn't see any Japanese flying to...

There was nothing like the iphone. And that time the iphone would not work in Japan. Iphone is a software solution anyway which is what the Americans are best at.

China is being considered more and more a security risk

Can you be specific? My dishwasher is made in China. Is it spying on me? Japanese companies lease PC made by Chinese companies.

Posted in: BYD to launch new EV in Japan yearly through 2026 to gain foothold See in context

I hardly think any Japanese person is going to buy a BYD

Remember what happened with the smartphone market in Japan (Japanese people wanted the iPhone even before the network was ready for it- some even flew to USA to see them in the showrooms before their availability in Japan)? Other consumer electronics making their shift? PCs? Then BYD EVs will be (also) rebranded and serviced as a cheap Daihatsus or Nissans just like my Panasonic dishwasher is actually made by some mystery Chinese maker and it's been going strong for more than five years. What do Japanese car customers say? And it is interesting when people in Japan who are really critical about the car market are mostly (1) non-Japanese and (2) have never bought a car in Japan.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Posted in: BYD to launch new EV in Japan yearly through 2026 to gain foothold See in context

Anyone who buys these cars is an irresponsible fool.

Tell me more about this kill switch. This is nothing new as most kitchen JP appliances are made by Chinese companies and my washing machine has not killed my clothes (as of yet). Japanese PC brands are basically Chinese owned now. What will happen is BYD (or similar) will be sold as cheap J brand cars needed for shopping around town, especially car sharing. I understand China is led by Winnie the Pooh, but they are still highly industrial and almost impossible to decouple. Go to another Asian city like BKK and you see many BYDs- many more than Tesla. Japan is just being an open market (BYD is not entering USA) and people who are paranoid can't even define what is a kill switch

What does it do exactly?

Any heavy Japanese company like Kawasaki or Mitsubishi that provides the goods that make the economic world around. China is an important customer. Trump people in Japan (and you have a good life in Japan because of this) don't appreciate this fact.

Very true, backed up by the incontrovertible evidence.

It's time to give to Trump and not just talk about. Check his GoFundMe. They take credit cards. Trump has many legal expenses that is followers are on the hook for. Trump comes before the USA. Trump first and USA second. It's not about loving America. It's about what good for Trump and giving him money. Talk is cheap abs money talks (on GoFundMe).

For defending Trump?

Obviously not. He lost.

Liable doesn’t equate to criminality.

Exactly and that is why he has to pay 83 additional big ones. He either has to pay it all now and the courts hold it while appeals are exhausted or has to bond with (using his assets) with interest. But has has to pay now no matter what.
