Founded in 1991, the School of Business and Management of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST Business School) is recognized as one of the youngest and most respected business schools in Asia.
Awarded AACSB accreditation since 1999, the School has forged an international reputation for world class education programs and research performance, and has received many top global rankings. According to the Financial Times, our Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program has been ranked No.1 in the world for six times in the past nine years, while our MBA Program has been ranked among the top 15 in the world in the past six years. Our research has been ranked No.1 in Asia since the University of Texas at Dallas Top 100 Business School Research Rankings were published in 2005.

China is an important part of the world economy. Our proximity to Mainland China provides students with an exceptional learning experience in its culture and socio-economic development as well as cross-border business practices.
Our extensive international network comprises around 130 global exchange partners at the undergraduate level, which provides a platform for about half of our 3200 students to join exchange-out programs. At the post graduate level, we have some 80 global exchange partners. About half of our full-time MBA students for example have these exchange activities and immersed themselves in the contemporary Asian and the global business world.
We are not only closely connecting to the world, but also the global business community. Our School Advisory Council that provides strategic advice and support to the School truly reflects our strong link with the business world. The Council consists of local and international business leaders from various professional industries and multinational companies.

Our full suite of degree programs include 12 undergraduate programs, full-time and part-time MBA programs, two EMBA programs, eight MSc programs, PhD as well as a wide range of executive education programs. These programs reflect our commitment to continuous innovation.
The School's partnerships with leading business schools in joint degree programs have been instrumental in building our international prominence. These include the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program in collaboration with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and MSc in Global Finance with New York University's Stern School of Business. In 2013, the School also launched a new MSc in International Management program with CEMS, a global alliance in management education, and a pioneering undergraduate program - World Bachelor in Business (WBB) in partnership with the University of Southern California in the US and Bocconi University in Italy.
Capitalizing on Hong Kong's unique strategic location as a springboard to the world, our HKUST EMBA program is specifically designed for Chinese speaking executives and entrepreneurs in Asia and the Greater China. Its curriculum uniquely incorporates both Asian and Western approaches to business, and its bilingual learning environment enables students to access and understand both Chinese and western management practices seamlessly.
Our non-degree executive education programs specialize in delivering company and open-enrolment programs that promote leadership and talent development, staff retention and succession planning. We have provided hundreds of programs to multinational corporations, companies in Hong Kong and China, non-profit organizations and government.
