A West Virginia man was killed Wednesday night after he was thrown from his motorcycle and then run over in Jacksonville, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Kenneth Ray McKee, 25, was northbound on North Main Street at 8:10 p.m. when Anthony Ball, 20, of Jacksonville made a left turn into the motorcyclist's path to turn onto the southbound entrance ramp of Florida 9A, the Highway Patrol said. McKee laid his Suzuki on its right side, slid into the front, right tire of Ball's car and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Teresa E. Denmark, 47, of Jacksonville ran over McKee and left the scene. A witness followed Denmark's vehicle to her residence, and a Jacksonville sheriff's officer brought her back to the scene.

McKee was taken to Shands Jacksonville hospital and pronounced dead, the report said.

He was wearing his helmet.

The fourth driver involved in the accident, 33-year-old Kimberly G. Munday of Yulee, applied her brakes and struck the motorcycle after Denmark ran McKee over, the FHP said.

The report did not indicate that any charges had been filed.
