Where to find the best Black Friday 2020 deals in the Corpus Christi area

Thanks to COVID-19, we can say goodbye to our Thanksgiving tradition of gathering in groups and camping out for Black Friday.  

But just because one tradition has been changed this year, it doesn't mean you won't be able to find some of the best Black Friday 2020 deals. 

While many Corpus Christi-area stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, customers can still expect to shop online or go in-store for deals on Friday, Nov. 27. Some savvy shoppers can even pick up their gifts using curbside pickup or delivery.

Walmart

The retail store will offer big markdowns on a number of items, particularly in toys and tech for Black Friday 2020. 

Some of the best toys to find: Lego Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Death Star Final Duel for $89, Squeakee the Interactive Balloon Dog for $44.88, Na! Na! Na! Surprise Ultimate Surprise for $69, My Life as Hello Kitty Doll for $34.97, L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. Remix Doll, variety of characters for $34.88 and on the 8" tablet pro for $99.

Target

Target is going all-out this year for its annual toy sale on Black Friday. Many of its deals include low-prices on some of the hottest kid's toys, video games and tech.

Here are the deals to look forward to: the L.O.L Surprise! O.M.G. Remix Super Surprise for $129, a Star Wars The Child Animatronic toy for $59.99, a B'Loonz Squeakie Dog: Dalmation for $54.99, Ryan's World Ninja Warrior Shadow Box for $54.99, Hot Wheels Ultimate Garage for $89.99 and Jurassic World Super Colossal Indominus Rex for $49.99.

JCPenney

If you're looking for a variety of this year's must-have toys, the retail store will feature dozens, including classic retro toys, at its Penney's Playland.

Some of the deals you can find include the Mandalorian's The Child talking plush toy for $25.50 with a 10% discount when you pick-up in-store, a Discovery #MindBlown Ultimate Science Kit for $26.99 and retro games like Hasbro Star War Escape from the Death Star board game for $25 and Lite-Brite for $19.99.

Best Buy

If you're looking to get some extra savings on a new laptop, TV or tablet, you're in luck. The electronics retailer will offer 65" class or larger 4K smart TVs for as low as $249.99, $500 off on select HP laptops, PS4, XBOX and Switch games for $29.99, and featured games for $24.99.

If you're anticipating to get your hands on the latest gaming consoles, Best Buy will have the Playstation 5 console for $499 and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Launch edition on Playstation 5 for $69.99.

GameStop

The video game retailer will be offering tons of savings on new gaming consoles, video games and bundles. GameStop will even extend its Black Friday deals from Nov. 14-25 in-store and online before the big day.

Barnes & Noble

The book store will be offering discounts on puzzles, notebooks and planners for Black Friday 2020. Some of the deals include 50% off new book releases, buy one get one 50% on games and puzzles and a free Lego Star Wars Mini Build when you spend $25 on Lego products.

Half Priced Books

When we say Half Priced Books is going all out for Black Friday, we mean it. The book store will be offering 20% off everything in the store, an extra 25% off brand new bestsellers and will give the first 100 guests a free tote bag with a $5 gift card. Out of the hundred totes, one bag will have a $100 gift card.

Starting Wednesday, Nov. 20, customers can get 50% off on all jeans, sweaters and outerwear. Old Navy cardmembers will also be treated to 50% off their purchase in-store or online from Nov. 21-24.

If you're looking to save some money on new shoes and workout gear, the sports and outdoors retailer is offering hot deals on some of your favorite products.
