Woman lies about identity after arrest at Home Depot: Highland Heights Police Blotter

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Theft, Wilson Mills Road: A Cleveland man, 30, and woman, 45, were arrested at Home Depot April 4 for the suspected theft of $463 worth of tools and electrical parts.

The woman lied about her identity and was additionally charged with obstructing official business when her identity was discovered. She had active warrants with Mayfield and North Randall police. The man had active warrants with three agencies, as well, and holders were placed.

Fraud, Stanwell Drive: A resident said April 2 that he is receiving packages at his home from Amazon that he did not order and that charges for the items have been made to his credit card. He said the packages contained vitamins, shampoo and body wash. He filed a fraud report with Amazon and police are investigating the matter.

Theft, Wilson Mills Road: A Chesterland woman, 28, was arrested at Kohl’s April 3 for the suspected theft of $141 worth of clothing.

Disturbance, Kenbridge Drive: A man called police around 1:30 a.m. April 4 to report having issues with his 40-year-old live-in girlfriend. An officer advised him of the eviction process when he asked how he could have her removed from the home.

Fraud, Williamsburg Drive: A resident reported April 4 that her online business appeared to have been hacked and someone was attempting to reroute client payments to a different bank account.

Theft, Wilson Mills Road: A man reported April 5 that an Uber Eats iPad was stolen from Harry Buffalo. The incident is under investigation.

Fraud, Alpha Drive: The owner of Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse said April 6 that the business had a charge-back on a credit card payment for over $500. He said the bank believes the suspect is using credit cards belonging to another person. The incident is under investigation.
