Pune: All streets in PCMC limits to get LEDs

PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: The civic administration has approved replacement of sodium vapour lamps with LED lights for the street lights in the twin townships at an estimated cost of Rs34.29 crore.
Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a central government enterprise, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government for the project.
The urban development department has issued a notification to all municipal corporations that they should install LEDs by December this year.
