Fiji Police Force Chief Operations Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abdul Khan would like to acknowledge the assistance rendered by 34-year-old Iowane Savenaca.

Mr. Savenaca apprehended an 18-year-old boy in the Cunningham area after he robbed a 34-year-old woman of her mobile phone yesterday afternoon.

The suspect and the victim were in the same bus and when he got off at the Rewa Dairy bus stop he grabbed the mobile phone and ran away with it.

Mr. Savenaca who was walking on the roadside chased and caught the suspect.

He handed him over to the Military Officers at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua before Police came and took him for questioning.
ACP Khan is thankful for such effort and is hoping that the public would assist Police in arresting those involved in such crimes to ensure everyone’s safety and security.
