Clemson commitment Kane Patterson, a CPA linebacker, to play in All-American Bowl

Clemson commitment Kane Patterson will play in the All-American Bowl after the season, the Christ Presbyterian standout linebacker announced on Twitter on Thursday night.

Patterson, who is a one-time Ohio State commitment, was No. 1 on the Tennessean's Dandy Dozen, a college football recruiting list ranking the top 12 prospects for the Class of 2019 in Middle Tennessee.

The all-star game is scheduled for Jan. 5 in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be aired live on NBC at noon.

Patterson, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound two-sport athlete, has 30 tackles and eight for loss for the Lions (8-0). Opponents have shied away from his side of the field. He also has two sacks. He also has 252 yards on 38 carries with seven touchdowns.

For his career, Patterson has 229 tackles and 11 sacks. He has rushed for 1,399 yards and scored 33 touchdowns.
