2020 Golden Globes: What Men Wore On The Red Carpet

As we enter the new decade, men’s fashion has become much more influential in the world of jewelry. Watches, cufflinks and shirt studs have always been a proper part of black tie events, but lapel pins, brooches, bracelets and other jewels are becoming more prevalent for formal wear. However, if the 2020 Golden Globes red carpet is any indication, tradition still rules when it comes to formal style for men.

Actor Desean Terry of “The Morning Show” embraced both traditional style and trending fashion when he appeared on the red carpet wearing a vintage 1945 timepiece from Girard-Perregaux along with an 18k white gold tennis bracelet from luxury retailer, Wempe.

Nick Jonas may have made the blingiest statement on the red carpet when he appeared wearing a Bulgari’s Octo L’Originale featuring 1,172 diamonds (50.25 carats) with a value of more than $1 million.

Sir Elton John, winner of Best Original Song in a Motion Picture, also chose to go bling with the Chopard “Imperiale Collection,” featuring 11.22-carats of diamonds mounted on an 18k white gold case.

Stellan Skarsgard, the winner for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series, wore the Reverso Classic Large Duoface Small Seconds timepiece from Jaeger-LeCoultre with “Meisterstuck” onyx and yellow gold cufflinks from Montblanc.

Ramy Youssef, winner of Best Actor in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical, wore Montblanc onyx and silver tuxedo studs and Montblanc cufflinks.

Rami Malek, nominee for Best Actor in a Drama Series, wore Cartier Juste un Clou tie pin in 18k white gold, diamonds; and a steel and leather Cartier Tank Solo watch, large model.

David Yurman has been promoting the jewelry trend for men and several of the world’s biggest stars were wearing the brand on the red carpet. Among them were Brad Pitt, who wore the 19k gold Petrvs Bee Signet Ring, Leonardo DiCaprio in 18k gold Streamline cufflinks, Taika Waititi in Pavé Cufflinks with diamonds, and Jared Harris in the Heirloom Streamline cufflinks with Pietersite.

Omega ambassador, Daniel Craig, nominee for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical, wore an Omega red gold, Speedmaster Automatic Chronometer.

Actor, Chris Evans, a presenter, wore the Omega Sedna gold, De Ville Tresor Co-Axial Chronometer along with Montblanc mother-of-pearl and rose gold tuxedo studs paired with Montblanc Meisterstuck rose gold and dark brown cufflinks.

Actor Nicholas Braun of HBO drama, “Succession,” wore the steel and diamond, De Ville Tresor Co-Axial Chronometer for the evening.

Actor Jason Momoa wore a Cartier Fine Jewelry brooch in 18k white gold, onyx, emerald and diamonds; and a 46mm Ballon Bleu de Cartier rose gold watch.

Kieran Culkin, nominee for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Limited Series or TV Movie, who wore the L.U.C XP Skeletec timepiece, featuring 1.50-carats of trapeze cut diamonds set with an 18k white gold case; and Seth MacFarlane, the actor, animator, filmmaker, comedian, and singer, wore cufflinks from the “Mille Miglia Collection,” set in stainless steel.

Montblanc “Meisterstuck” cufflinks were a popular choice among men this year.

Andrew Scott, nominee for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series, wore Monmtblanc Meisterstuck mother-of-pearl and rose gold cufflinks.

Actor Mark Duplass of Knives Out” wore Montblanc Meisterstuck rose gold cufflinks.
