Young Boy Battling Cancer Gets Dream Job for a Day, Thanks to Queensland Police

Two seven-year-old brothers had their dreams come true when they became police officers for the day, thanks to police in Queensland, Australia, who inducted them into their ranks on December 17.

Holland Park Station, in Brisbane, welcomed twins Tom and Cameron Beattie to the team, where they got to experience what it was like to be a police officer for the day.

Tom is fighting brain cancer, according to a press release issued by the station, and being a policeman is his dream job.

A video and images shared by the station show the brothers participating in many of the daily duties of a constable, including fingerprinting and conducting speed checks on motorists. They also got to bond with the station’s dog squad, which was a highlight for Tom.
