Super Bowl 55 tickets will cost the same as a used car

If you want to go to Super Bowl 55, then you’ll have to drop some serious coin for tickets.

The NFL has accomplished its goal at the start of the season, and that’s navigate its way through the still ongoing coronavirus pandemic to make it to Super Bowl 55. The field was officially set on Sunday evening, as the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the latter’s home turf of Raymond James Stadium on Feb. 7.

With the Super Bowl attendance limited to 22,000 fans, many are wondering just how much a ticket will cost. According to GameTime, the starting price for entry into the big game is a cold $11,000. Basically, it’s the price of a used car.

Only 14,500 tickets will be up for grabs

As mentioned earlier, only 22,000 fans will be allowed entry into Raymond James Stadium. 7,500 free tickets will be reserved for vaccinated front line workers, who will be the official guests of the NFL. That means there will be 14,500 seats up for grabs for buying customers.

Super Bowl tickets are normally an expensive ticket, but this year is no exception given the limited number of tickets available than in years past. That, and the Buccaneers are officially the first team in NFL history to host a Super Bowl on their home turf. That means there will be plenty of Bucs fans attempting to get one of the limited tickets for the contest.

The Buccaneers held off a late comeback attempt by the Green Bay Packers to win 31-26 and reach the Super Bowl for the first time since 2003. The Chiefs easily defeated the Buffalo Bills 38-24 on Sunday night to reach the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season, where they will look to repeat as champions.
