Tom Green County COVID-19 vaccine tracker: 39% of people fully vaccinated

Tom Green County has administered more than 96,650 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as of Sept. 14, according to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

That's up 1.63% from the previous week's tally of 95,097 COVID-19 doses administered.

In Tom Green County, 39% of people living in Tom Green County are fully vaccinated as of Sept. 14. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Texas reported 3,870,934 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 4% from the week before.

The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Texas as of Sept. 14 are Presidio County (73%), Hudspeth County (69%), Webb County (67%), Fort Bend County (66%) and Starr County (65%).
