Badger Technologies is partnering with STCR to increase the speed of deployments of Badger Technologies autonomous robots to address operational inadequacies.

FREMONT, CA: Badger Technologies is a product division of Jabil, and it is collaborating with STCR, Inc., a prominent provider of innovative retail point of sale (POS) and self-checkout solutions, to increase the momentum of multipurpose robot rollouts by independent and regional grocers worldwide. The partnership will increase the speed of deployments of Badger Technologies autonomous robots to address crucial out-of-stock, price integrity, planogram compliance, and other operational inadequacies.

“Our mission is to bring much-needed retail automation to the independent and regional grocer, empowering them to run their stores more efficiently while competing more effectively with the largest supermarket chains,” said Farrell McKenna, GM of STCR, Inc. “Adding Badger Technologies autonomous robots to our portfolio was a no-brainer, as they complement our existing solutions and extend the amount of actionable data and insights we can offer our grocery customers.”

For almost half-century, STCR has helped numerous independent and regional grocers to select, implement, and support advanced retail systems so that they can improve operations and shopping experiences. The integration of Badger Technologies autonomous robots to the company’s portfolio of retail tech development is created to streamline and automate crucial store operations.

“Theres been a major groundswell of demand for in-store robots to help grocery staff keep stores safe and shelves fully stocked, especially during COVID-19,” said Tim Rowland, CEO of Badger Technologies. “Working with STCR enables us to accelerate deployments while ensuring independent and regional grocers can provide their local communities with highly personalized customer service.”

STCR is working with Badger Technologies to extend the implementations of its flexible robotic lineup, which comprises of:

• Badger„¢ Retail InSight- The autonomous robot recognizes missing, mispriced, and misplaced products. Apart from performing shelf scans in hours instead of days, the robot offers accurate product location data in a four-foot section of store aisles.

• Badger„¢ Retail InSpect- The hazard-detection robot navigates the store aisles searching for liquid, powder, and a massive amount of food spills and debris. Real-time hazard alerts to reduce risks while keeping stores clean and safe for shoppers.

• Badger„¢ Retail InForm- The merge of robot integrates hazard-detection and shelf-scanning abilities to offer grocers with advanced inventory management and store safety capabilities.
