The orange barrels have been along Wooster Street for months, but before your drive gets any easier, it's about to get a little bit harder,

Starting Monday, westbound Wooster will be closed over I-75 as crews work to build the second half of the bridge. You can get around it by taking Dunbridge to Poe to Mercer.

But it doesn't stop there.

Also starting Monday, the ramp from Wooster Street to Northbound I-75 will be completely shut down through July. You can get around this by taking Dunbridge Road to US 6 to I-75. The other three ramps will remain open throughout the entire project.

Come May 20, Wooster Street will be entirely shut down over I-75 for roundabout construction: a move ODOT says will improve safety.

"Changing the signalized intersection into the roundabouts is really going to allow us to improve the safety, but it's also going to improve the flow of traffic," Rebecca Dangelo said, Public Information Officer for ODOT District 2. "You're not going to have those backups, especially during busy times."

You can get around the full closure by taking Dunbridge to Poe to Mercer.

The entire project is set to wrap up in July.
