A grandfather of four purchased a $1 million lottery ticket at Rising Fawn, Ga. Kurt Earley, 42, won the top prize playing Extreme Green, a Georgia Lottery instant game.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Earley won a $200 prize playing the same game.
“I’m shocked,” he exclaimed. “Winning $200 was exciting in itself.”
A resident of Bee Spring, Ky., he stopped twice at Pilot Travel Center #0415, 319 Deer Head Cove Road in Rising Fawn, for gas. The first stop on his way to Alabama netted a $200 win, he said.
He won the $1 million lottery prize when he purchased a ticket at the same location on his way back home, scratching it in his truck.
“I got out of my truck and shouted, ‘No way,’ ” he said. “I was crying. I was just bawling.”
Overwhelmed with joy, Mr. Earley and his wife, Theresa, anticipate sharing the lottery win with their three adult children.
“My kids come first,” he shared.
