The Bahrain team cruised to victory against the international team in the Royal Golf Club’s unique two-day version of the Ryder Cup.
Friday’s pair’s better ball competition saw the Bahrain team score 4.5 points against the international team’s 1.5 points after Bahrain won four matches, halved one and lost only one match to the pairing of Barry Hobday and Andy Love.
The international team fared slightly better in Saturday’s singles match play, with Peter O’Brien, Karin Lutz and Rob Lane all winning their matches. However, Bahrain won seven matches and finished all square in two matches, giving Bahrain a total of 8 points against the international team’s 4.
