Rick Hilton, of Spring Hill, FL and Barneveld, NY, died surrounded by the love of his family and his faithful companion, Lulu, on June 10, 2022 after a brief illness in Spring Hill, FL.

Rick is survived by his wife, Ginny (Lasek) Hilton; his children Rick Hilton & CJ Gertner (Baltimore, MD) and Laurie & Brett Szalkowski (Spring Hill, FL). He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Kitty & Dean Beeman (Spring Hill, FL), Tom & Ellen Hilton (Marcy, NY), Gary & Carol Hilton (N. Brookfield, NY); and his sister-in-law, Patty Lasek & Shane Farr (Barneveld, NY); many much-loved nieces and nephews, especially Mia Hilton and Jennifer (Beeman) Zambito; and great-nieces and great-nephews; godchildren, Jonathan Hilton, Tony Chrzan and Christine Pasiak; and numerous friends, including John Bergstrom, Sam DiNitto, Bill Regan, Dave Saph and Mike Klopotek. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard & Margaret (Sweet) Hilton; grandmother, Mary (Maloney) Sweet; and father- and mother-in-law, Stanley & Frances (Pasiak) Lasek.

He was born Sept. 15, 1944 in Utica and attended UFA. He served in the US Navy and returned to Central New York to marry and start his family. After the Navy, his career began at the Waterbury Mill, Oriskany and continued through Whitesboro Transfer, International Harvester and 25 years at the Utica Post Office, from which he retired.

He gave his time and talents freely to his family, friends and communities, especially Trenton Assembly Park, Barneveld, NY and was a member of the American Legion and the Polish Legion of American Veterans. He was an avid golfer and spent countless hours with family and friends playing, teaching and generally spending quality time and bonding.

Memorials will be held in Spring Hill, FL and at Trenton Assembly Park in Barneveld, NY at a future date.
