NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) —A 34-year-old man from Shelbyville was killed in a single-vehicle crash in West Nashville Sunday night.

The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 4400 block of Harding Pike.

Metro police said Joseph Esposito was driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra east on Harding Pike when the sedan left the roadway for unknown reasons and hit a tree.

Esposito, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Metro police.

Metro police said there was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene and toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
