Kings F Marvin Bagley suffers fractured left hand

The Sacramento Kings announced on Monday that forward Marvin Bagley has a fractured left hand.

He suffered the injury during the first half of Monday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets. An X-Ray confirmed a fracture of the fourth metacarpal, according to the Kings. The team announced that he will undergo further medical evaluation and did not provide a timeline or a prognosis.

Will Bagley return this season?

Bagley, 21, is in his third season in Sacramento after the Kings selected him with the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NBA draft. In 36 games this season, Bagley has averaged 13.9 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 49.9 percent from the field playing alongside Richaun Holmes and Harrison Barnes in Sacramento's frontcourt.

The 15-24 Kings are four games behind the 10th-place Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference and not likely to make a playoff push with or without Bagley. There will be no motivation to rush Bagley back before he's physically ready to return.
