WITH THE CORONAVIRUS KEEPING VISITORS OUT OF HOSPITALS, MANY PEOPLE ARE WORRIED FOR THEIR LOVED ONES WHO ARE ALONE. RUN FROM IT IS ONE OF THEM. HE TOOK HIS PARTNE KEVIN TO LIBERTY HOSPITAL WHERE KEVIN HAD TO UNDERGO A LENGTHY SURGERY. A WAY -- A WEEK LATER, KEVIN HAS BEEN UNABLE TO SEE HIM. For more than a week, Ron Prewitt was not able to see his partner, Kevin, after his surgery at Liberty Hospital because of restrictions put in place with the COVID-19 outbreak. Sadly, Kevin passed away on Monday, but Prewitt said he was able to be with him for 3 hours before he died. Prewitt believes the KMBC 9 News story about his situation helped him get that opportunity to say a final goodbye. Prewitt has been relying on nurses for updates and was told that Kevin has taken a turn for the worse."Every time my phone rings, I'm hoping it's not a call that I don't want," Prewitt said. "He's a super great guy. It's a sad situation."Prewitt worries he may not get to see Kevin before it's too late. Prewitt said he appreciates everything that the staff at Liberty Hospital is doing, and knows this is all taking a toll on them as well. He's hopeful the hospital will help him find a way to safely visit Kevin.

With attempts to stem the spread of the coronavirus keeping visitors out of hospitals, many people are worried for loved ones who are there alone.

An Excelsior Springs, Missouri, man is concerned after he was told his partner has taken a turn for the worse following a serious surgery.

Ron Prewitt took his partner of 11 years, Kevin, to Liberty Hospital last week to undergo a lengthy surgery.
