A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday in eastern Multnomah County, officials said Thursday morning.

Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded about 12:45 p.m. to reports of the crash in the rural 35000 block of Dodge Park Boulevard, southeast of Gresham.

The first officers on the scene found a vehicle that had left the roadway, hit a tree and ended up down an embankment, officials said in a statement. The driver, later identified as 46-year-old Jennifer Brenner, had been ejected from the vehicle.

She died at the scene, officials said.

A special unit of the sheriff’s office was investigating the crash, but it was unclear what caused the vehicle to veer off the road, officials said.
