SikTh Continue the Proud Tradition of Metal Songs About Men’s Fashion with New Track “Golden Cufflinks”

If you ask me, it’s far too rare that metal bands write about men’s fashion accessories. I mean, as far as heavy metal lyrical themes go, this one is a surefire winner. After all, who can forget Slayer’s “Dead Skin Mask,” Cannibal Corpse’s “Covered with Sores,” or Anvil’s “Honey, Have You Seen My Pinky Ring?”? Metal songs about Satan and war and death are a dime a dozen — but you can never go wrong screaming about ways to spruce up your outfit before heading over to your nephew’s bar mitzvah.

So bravo to SiKth for being the latest band to enter this lyrical genre with their new single, “Golden Cufflinks.” I would have figured the SiKth dudes for a slightly more demure choice, like silver cufflinks, but hey, to each their own.

Check out “Golden Cufflinks” below. The track will appear on SiKth’s new album, The Future in Whose Eyes?, which comes out June 2. Pre-order it here! Alas, there doesn’t seem to be a pre-order package with comes with SiKth cufflinks, which seems like a missed opportunity.
