RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The Delaware County Election Bureau contacted all municipalities in August asking them to accept a ballot box, to assist voters seeking to return absentee and mail-in ballots.

On the agenda of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners meeting for Monday, Sept. 14 is "Approval of Ballot Drop Box License Agreement with County of Delaware, Bureau of Elections."

Some municipalities have already accepted the boxes, some have declined and some are in the process of deciding.

Secure voting ballot boxes were delivered to Delaware County on Sept. 8 and are being housed in a warehouse, according to the county election bureau.

Radnor Township's commissioners meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday to vote on acceptance of the ballot box drop off. The meeting can be viewed on the township's YouTube Channel.

Once all ballot box placements are confirmed, the Delawar County's website will be updated with ballot box locations and hours of availability for those boxes that are not located outside. The County anticipates installing the drop boxes later this month and will begin accepting ballots beginning on Oct. 1.

Ballot boxes will be under video surveillance and will be emptied once a day by county employees.

Ballot boxes are just one way residents can exercise their right to vote.
