MadTree reopening taproom Wednesday – with restrictions
No dogs, no bar stools and no groups of more than 8 people: These are just some of the rules for MadTree Brewing’s taproom as it reopens Wednesday. The Cincinnati-based brewery announced its plans to reopen Wednesday during the coronavirus pandemic. They will be taking everyone’s temperature with an infrared thermometer. Employees will be wearing masks, and ask that patrons do as well – except when drinking or eating, of course.Tables are spaced out in accordance with the plans laid out by Gov. Mike DeWine. Tables will include a beer, cocktail and wine list. Once you know what you want to drink, there are four designated ordering spots (inside or outside). The open bar walk-up policy is no more. After ordering drinks, customers are asked to immediately return to their tables. Other than getting up to use the restroom or to order drinks or food, customers are asked to remain seated during their visit. One of the biggest changes is dogs are not allowed in the outside area for safety reasons. “We miss them too and hopefully will allow them soon,” brewery officials said.
