A 28-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in north Jefferson County.
Authorities identified the fatality victim as Edgar Oziel-Guevara Degollado. He lived in Cullman.
The crash happened at 4:24 p.m. Wednesday on I-65 in Gardendale, said Trooper Justin O’Neal. The victim was driving a Ford Fusion when the vehicle left the road and struck a metal guardrail and then a bridge column.
He was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:02 p.m.
