Pedestrian in critical condition after hit and run on Dickerson Pike Friday night

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit and run on Dickerson Pike Friday evening. Metro police are asking for assistance in identifying the driver.

Police investigation shows that 37-year-old Maurice Ferguson was standing in the southbound lane in the 2500 block of Dickerson Pike around 9:30 p.m. when he was struck by a silver sedan.

Ferguson, who lives near Dickerson Pike, was taken to Skyline Medical Center. He is in critical condition.

Evidence suggests that the vehicle used in the hit and run could be 2006 to 2012 silver Chevrolet Impala.

This collision happened outside of a crosswalk.
