The most eligible women in Britain! Tatler reveals its pick of the hottest singletons including Prince Harry's ex Chelsy Davy, Kate Moss' daughter Lila and Princess Diana's niece Lady Eliza Spencer

Successful, attractive and with the world at their feet, these women are Britain's most eligible singletons, according to Tatler magazine. 

The British society bible has compiled a list of the 100 most in-demand women for its December issue, choosing each entrant because they are 'smart, single and seriously sociable'.

Topping the list is Chelsy Davy, the 35-year-old jewellery designer and ex-girlfriend of Prince Harry, followed by interior designer the Hon Philippa Cadogan, 27, and Lady Viola Grosvenor, 28, the younger sister of the Duke of Westminster. 

Princess Margaret's granddaughter Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 18, and Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones, 22, round out the top five. 

The rest of the top 10 includes TV queens Michaela Coel and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the brains behind I May Destroy You and Fleabag, respectively.  

While some of the women are in relationships, Tatler considers them 'single' as long as they are not married. 

But their inclusion on this list might just prompt their lucky boyfriends to pop the question...

1. Chelsy Davy, 35

Businesswoman Chelsy Davy is a high society globe-trotter and splits her time between London, Norfolk and South Africa.

The daughter of a South African safari farmer and former beauty queen, Chelsy was born and raised in Zimbabwe but later left to continue her education in the UK. 

She briefly attended Cheltenham College before moving to Stowe School, in Buckingham, where Cressida Bonas, Princess Eugenie's future husband Jack Brooksbank and model Florence Brudenell-Bruce were also students.   

Chelsy began mingling in royal and society circles and was first introduced to Prince Harry as a teenager. The pair spent time together when the royal travelled to Cape Town on his gap year and she later studied at the University of Leeds to be closer to her beau. 

The couple dated from 2003 to 2010. She has described the media interest during their relationship as 'crazy and scary and uncomfortable'.

The former flames remain on good terms, with Chelsy attending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in May 2018.She also attended Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding in October that year. 

Chelsy spent lockdown in Norfolk before jetting off to Istanbul for a summer holiday.

In March she revealed she was in a relationship but did not share any details.  

Tatler says: 'Prince Harry’s former flame adores travelling and splits her time between South Africa, London and Norfolk. Chelsy, 35, has two degrees (in economics and law), and runs her own jewellery and travel business, Aya.'

2. The Hon Philippa Cadogan, 27

Born into one of Britain's richest families, interior designer Philippa Cadogan is the 'go-to girl for anyone revamping an Eaton Square flat,' Tatler notes. 

She lives in Chelsea, just a stone's throw from her brothers George and Charlie, who are also in their 20s. Tatler adds: 'Spot the 27-year-old walking Louie, her Pomeranian, around the family empire of the King’s Road and Sloane Street.'

Philippa is the daughter of Edward, Viscount Chelsea, the heir to the vast Cadogan Estate empire across Chelsea and Knightsbridge.

The London property boom rocketed the value of the 93-acre Cadogan estate from £4.8 billion to £5.2 billion between 2015 and 2016, making the family richer than the Queen. 

The aristocratic family has a further £500 million in cash and other investments. 

In 2016 it was reported Philippa's father had split from his wife of 26 years, Katharina, the daughter of German naval officer Rear-Admiral Diether Hülsemann. 

3. Lady Viola Grosvenor, 28

Another wealthy woman on the list is Lady Viola Grosvenor, younger sister of the Duke of Westminster, who has an estimated £10.2billion fortune. 

Lady Viola is taking advantage of her comfortable financial position to pursue her charitable dreams, as Tatler notes: 'Not only is the Duke of Westminster ’s younger sister Viola effortlessly beautiful, but she’s big-hearted, too. 

'Always perfectly poised, the 28-year-old works in youth-focused philanthropy, but has her sights set on becoming an art therapist.'

Lady Tamara's brother Hugh, became Britain's richest property owner and the country's newest billionaire in 2016, following the death of his father, Gerald. 

Lady Viola's sister Lady Tamara van Cutsem is married to one of Prince William's closest friends Edward van Cutsem, whose father was Hugh Van Cutsem, a wealthy banker and landowner, who befriended Prince Charles at Cambridge University.

Her other sister, Lady Edwina Grosvenor, is married to TV historian Dan Snow. 

4. Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 18

Her cousin Arthur Chatto is regularly named one of the most eligible society heartthrobs, now Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones is making her debut on Tatler's list.

Lady Margarita is the youngest child and only daughter of Princess Margaret's son David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon, formerly Viscount Linley, and his wife, Serena, Countess of Snowdon. 

She was a bridesmaid at Prince William and Kate Middleton's April 2011 wedding. 

The talented teenager has inherited her grandfather Tony Armstrong-Jones' love of photography and is studying the discipline. 

'Margarita, 18, is hard to keep track of on her travels,' writes Tatler. 'She often trawls vintage shops in Florence and goes riding in Seville. 

'Affectionately known as Mags by her friends, the granddaughter of Princess Margaret loves fashion and is much in demand at all the best parties.'

Unlike other society beauties, Lady Margarita has a private Instagram account. Her profile picture shows her behind the wheel of a vintage car. 

5. Daisy Edgar-Jones, 22

The rising star has already booked her next big budget adaptation. She will star in the film version of Delia Owens' hit 2018 novel Where the Crawdads Sing, which is being produced by Hollywood heavyweight Reese Witherspoon. 

'When she’s not learning lines, the Muswell Hill-raised actress likes to curl up in front of a film with friends, dabble in karaoke and learn TikTok dances in her north London flat,' Tatler continues. 

'Elsewhere, find her in the capital’s art galleries or shopping for an Annie Hall-inspired wardrobe.'

6. Michaela Coel, 33

Bringing more showbiz starpower to the list is Michaela Coel, the stunningly talented writer-director-star of BBC hit series I May Destroy You. 

The phenomenal response to the 12-part series, which premiered on BBC1 and HBO in June, elevated the show to must-watch status and cemented the coronation of its multi-talented creator Michaela as the new queen of British TV. 

Coel, who grew up in an east London council flat, discovered writing through spoken word poetry and penned her earliest verses about Jesus after dropping out of university to devote herself to Christianity.  

Encouraged by actor and playwright Ché Walker, whom she met on the London open mic circuit, Coel enrolled in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she wrote the 45-minute one-woman show Chewing Gum Dreams that would grow to become her breakout Channel 4 TV show, Chewing Gum. 

Two BAFTAs and a string of other roles followed - including in BBC2's Black Earth Rising - but it is I May Destroy You that has catapulted Coel to the level of global renown that many feel is long overdue. 

Tatler says: 'Michaela, 33, is the woman behind (and star of) the BBC hit series I May Destroy You. The enviably sharp-cheekboned east Londoner has a beaming smile and works hard, poring over her latest script day and night.

'She’s a self-confessed anti-romantic, so don’t try to sweep her off her feet with flowers – instead, join her at a yoga class or winding down to 1960s soul music.'

7. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, 35

Another multi-hyphenate on the list is Phoebe Waller-Bridge, best known as the brains behind Killing Eve and Fleabag. 

The success of both shows here and in the UK led the Bond franchise to bring her on board to spice up the latest film, No Time To Die. 

She grew up both posh and artsy in west London: her father, Michael, worked in the City before he retired and became a photographer. 

Her mother, a baronet's daughter, worked for the Ironmongers' Guild and once told her daughter, 'Darling, you can be whatever you want to be, as long as you're outrageous.'

It was an outrageousness that quickly found its voice when Phoebe, newly graduated from RADA and struggling for work, met for a drink with equally struggling young director Vicky Jones, and they decided to found their own theatre company, DryWrite, which specialised in producing new plays, the more controversial the better. 

In 2018 she got divorced from her husband, Irish documentary-maker Conor Woodman, and began a relationship with playwright and director Martin McDonagh.

Tatler says: 'Quick, likeable and possessed of an impeccably sharp sense of humour, Phoebe is fast becoming a preternaturally young national treasure. The 35-year-old writer, producer and actress is the brains behind TV sensations Killing Eve and Fleabag. 

'Shoreditch-based Flea – as she’s known to family and friends – is the granddaughter of a baronet, loves burrata and her party trick is to make her eyeballs shake in her head.'

8. Lady Eliza Spencer, 28

Another singleton with royal connections, Lady Eliza, 28, is the daughter of Charles, Earl Spencer, the older brother of Princess Diana. 

Born in Cape Town to Earl Spencer and his first wife, Victoria Lockwood, Lady Eliza has chosen to make South Africa her home but often flies to the UK to visit her father at the family seat of Althorp House.

Her twin sister, Lady Amelia Spencer, excitedly announced her engagement to Greg Mallett, nephew of the former South African national rugby coach, Nick Mallett, this summer. Her older sister, D&G model Lady Kitty, 29, is engaged to £80million fashion tycoon Michael Lewis, 61. 

Tatler says: 'Cape Town’s blonde bombshell Eliza, 28, is the niece of Diana, Princess of Wales, and now that her sisters Kitty and Amelia are both engaged, she’s even more in demand. She often returns to visit her father at Althorp. In her home town, she lets her hair down over brunch at Café Caprice.' 

Earl Spencer, who inherited the family seat in Northamptonshire on the death of his father in 1992, lives at Althorp with his third wife, Karen, and their daughter Lady Charlotte.

Earl Spencer has four children with his first wife, Lady Kitty Spencer, Lady Eliza Spencer, Lady Amelia Spencer, Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and two children with his second wife, Edmund Spencer and Lady Lara Spencer.      

9. Lila Moss, 18

Fashion is in the blood for Lila Moss, the 18-year-old daughter of supermodel Kate. 

Although she is just a teenager, Lila has already 'worked with industry greats David Bailey, Tim Walker and Juergen Teller,' Tatler writes.

'Find her on the front row during London, New York and Paris fashion weeks, and with friend and fellow model Stella Jones at the afterparties.'

The achingly cool teenager recently made her runway debut at the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2021 show at Paris Fashion Week in October, just a week after her 18th birthday.

Lila appeared a natural fit for the catwalk as she strutted her stuff at the virtual event.

Kate, 46, made her runway debut at the same age as her daughter in 1992, after being scouted as a 14-year-old in 1988 at JFK Airport in New York.

It was reported by the Mail On Sunday that Moss senior is masterminding her daughter's style and her fledgling career.

Industry sources reported that Kate's priorities have shifted from her own career to launching her only daughter onto the fashion scene.

Lila is the principal client at the Kate Moss Agency, which also represents singer Rita Ora and Game Of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie.

In September the mother-daughter duo cut a stylish pair as they stepped out to celebrate Kim Jones' birthday. 

Lila's father is Jefferson Hack, co-founder of Dazed Media. 

10. Kesewa Aboah, 26

'London-born, Brooklyn-based Kesewa, 26, is instantly admired by all who meet her,' writes Tatler.

'Catch the artist and model this side of the pond at Taqueria in Notting Hill, or searching for vintage pieces on Portobello Road. Fashion finds aside, she never goes anywhere without a hoodie.'

Adwoa and Kesewa are the daughters of Charles Aboah, a Ghanaian location scout in the fashion industry, and Camilla Lowther, a British fashion businesswoman and talent manager.

Kesewa attended private school Millfield, in Somerset, and later studied for a degree at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. 

Both Adwoa and Kesewa are family friends of Lady Lola Bute and spent part of lockdown on the Scottish island.
