Meth lab found in Creola; owner arrested, pets seized

CREOLA, Ala. -- Mobile County sheriff's deputies working on several tips searched a home in Creola Monday and arrested a 43-year-old man after components of a working methamphetamine lab were found, sheriff's spokeswoman Lori Myles said.

Kenneth B. Lister was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and altering the identification of a firearm after deputies searched his home on Old Highway 43 in Creola, Myles said.

She added a dozen cats and a dog were picked up by animal control officers during the raid.
