Lake County Hosting Photo Contest Through Oct. 31

Winners will receive an exclusive prize and photo credit in future tourism marketing materials for Lake County.

LAKE COUNTY, IL—Do you have a natural talent for taking beautiful photos? If so, Lake County officials want to hear from you.

Now through Oct. 31, Visit Lake County invites the public to submit their stunning pictures in the #LetsSnapLakeCounty photo contest.

"There is an abundance of beautiful, scenic, historical, adventurous, heritage, character and just downright #InstaGood shots of Lake County," county officials said in a news release.

Visit Lake County is on a mission to showcase where folks live, work, eat, play or shop by having them share their best pictures of the county.

It will accept all submissions but is looking to fulfill these five categories:

  • Outdoor Photos
  • Family/People Imagery
  • Dining/Libations
  • Masked Individual Photography
  • Other Travel Culture (i.e. architecture, downtown areas, photo manipulation, shopping, drone, etc.)

There will be a grand prize winner as well as five other category winners.

Participants may submit up to five photos. Winners of the #LetsSnapLakeCounty photo contest will win an exclusive prize and photo credit in future tourism marketing materials. The contest will reveal winners in multiple categories.
