Community Lift to accept 2018 Empowerment Grant Applications
MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Community Lift organization will start accepting applications for their 2018 Empowerment Grants on June 26.
The Empowerment Fund was created to provide some financial assistance to help grassroots leaders and organizations to better serve Memphis' under-resourced communities.
Grants worth $2,500 will be given out to residents, business or property owners, and neighborhood associations that apply for the funds to help them with community-supported projects that promote community cohesion, improve the physical spaces in the neighborhood, cultivate financial stability, and/or assist neighborhood stakeholders in collaborative action.
2018 Empowerment Fund applications must be submitted by July 27 and grants will be announced on September 21. For more information, visit http://www.communitylift.org Applicants must attend one of the three information sessions hosted by Community Lift to receive the grants.
