ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)- Sandia Labs is testing the technology of the future.

It’s biometric technology that uses signals from a person’s heartbeat sent from a wearable device to identify people for security. Sandia Labs is collaborating with a local small business to test and develop the biometric security system.

Currently, they’re developing and testing a wearable prototype that can stream in real-time an identifying signature based on the electrical activity of a person’s heart.
