A 911 caller told Michigan State Police they saw three people attempting to break into Royal Oak Township house  Tuesday night, the agency said.

In a series of tweets, the agency said that the incident happened at approximately 11:15 p.m., the caller told dispatchers that they saw the suspects, all dressed in black, leave the house on the 10700 block of North Oaks Drive. They returned holding a gun on one of the homeowners, forcing them into the house before they fled again.

Troopers responding to the scene found a 23-year-old man from Detroit nearby. No other suspects were located.

The agency said the house appears to have been used as an illegal marijuana grow operation.
