Alabama added more than 3,800 new COVID cases overnight with two counties – Jefferson and Madison – combining for 988 of them.
The Alabama Department of Public Health’s Jan. 12 10 a.m. numbers show the state has now recorded 407,848 cases of coronavirus, an increase of 3,848 from the day before. At 619, Jefferson County saw the greatest increase followed by Madison at 369.
The state added 226 deaths, many dating back several months, to bring it total to 5573.
