4 More Die; 55 New Infections: NH Coronavirus Data Update

Plus: 4 more children infected; 4,545 accumulative cases; 2,940 recovered; nearly 83,000 specimens collected; and 94.5% test negative.

CONCORD, NH — Four more deaths and 55 new positive test results of the new coronavirus were announced by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services Sunday.

The four Granite Staters, two women and two men, all lived in Hillsborough County, were 60 years of age or older and connected to a long-term care facility, and bring the fatality count to 242 in New Hampshire.

A number of the new positive cases are still being investigated by the state but those with complete information, 60 percent were women, 40 percent men, and four were children. Thirty-five of the positive cases live in Manchester, Nashua, and the rest of Hillsborough County and seven reside in Merrimack and Rockingham counties. Nine of the patients were hospitalized and seven cases had no identified risk factors.

Sixty-five percent of all infections, 2,940, have recovered from the virus while around 3,925 are under public health monitoring. The state has taken in 82,956 specimens for polymerase chain reaction and antibody tests with 78,411 offering a negative result.
