Amy Schumer's Lawyer Sent Her Personal Trainer A Fake Cease And Desist Letter Because The Workouts Were Too Hard

When the going gets tough, the tough gets a cease and desist letter.

We've all had that one workout session that made us want to sue the gym for bodily harm and emotional distress, right?

But, if you're a world-renowned comedian with millions in the bank, then you can actually just get your lawyer to draft up a cease and desist so your personal trainer can't inflict such terror on you again. Isn't that right, Amy Schumer?

Yep, after being put through her paces a little too much, Amy revealed on the 3 Girls, 1 Keith podcast that she'd had her lawyer jokingly send a cease and desist to her personal trainer, claiming that the workouts were too hard.

"It has come to our attention that while Ms. Schumer has engaged you to perform simple physical training for her, you have instead forced Ms. Schumer to perform extreme and unduly punishing physical exercise well outside the bounds of normal physical training," the letter began.

But then came the kicker: "Your blatant disregard of Ms. Schumer's physical well-being can only be interpreted as a deliberate effort to cause Ms. Schumer emotional distress, potential physical injury and lost revenue. It may even be determined to be a vioation of her human rights."

The letter added that the personal trainer, AJ Fisher, should "cease and desist such torment" and revise the sessions to ease "such pain and suffering".

Here's a full copy of the letter for your reading pleasure.

In the accompanying caption, Amy said she had "jokingly threatened" to give the cease and desist during a workout session. However, she then went on to praise AJ for being a great trainer who's helped her to recover after giving birth.

"Was this is a wasteful use of resources?" Amy said of the prank. "Very very much so but it brought me so much joy."
