CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Nashville Metro Transit Authority is expanding commuter bus services between Clarksville and Nashville by adding an additional weekday route, effective Tuesday, July 5.

MTA, through public transit contractor WeGo Public Transit, runs along route 94, Clarksville Express (I-24). Stops for the route include the Exit 11 Park & Ride in Clarksville, the Pleasant View Park & Ride, Central 4th Avenue in Nashville and Broadway & 9th in Nashville.

The new bus route will leave Clarksville at 6:20 a.m. Pickup will be at Broadway & 10th at 4:20 p.m. Current departure times for Clarksville Exit 11 Park & Ride include 5:48 a.m., 5:56 a.m., 6:50 a.m., and 5:20 p.m.

WeGo spokesperson Eric Melcher told Clarksville Now that the company scaled back trips between Clarksville and Nashville due to the COVID-19 pandemic reducing demand. The newly added pickup time is a step towards restoring the pre-pandemic schedule.

“Adding back in these extra trips is part of us trying to get back to normal after COVID,” Melcher said. “Hopefully this extra trip will make it easier for people to get to where they need to be.”
