Father and son grab guns to follow and kill a jogger and dad says, “There was no malice in my heart or my son’s heart that day.” Yep, just more “good guys with guns” who think they have the right to shoot anyone they want.

So our Indiana Republican legislature is smugly satisfied with the ban they enacted on abortion. So they satisfied the religious right. What about the rest — the majority of their constituents?

Trump is casting himself as the innocent victim of a political vendetta, and his endlessly gullible followers are gobbling it up in the same way they have mindlessly embraced the Big Lie. He is no victim. He is a criminal and mobster who is finally facing accountability for his brazen lawlessness. And it’s way past time.

Indiana now has one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation thanks to the Republicans. I guess that’s what they deserve when an unqualified woman from the handmaids via Notre Dame is allowed on the Supreme Court.

Indiana: First state to be called for Trump in the elections of 2016 and 2020, and now the first state to enact a draconian post-Roe abortion ban. Even the Indiana Chamber of Commerce was concerned about how carelessly, rapidly, and thoughtlessly this policy was adopted. And with good reason. We now hear that some major Indiana industries are thinking of leaving the state because they cannot get qualified people to move here.

Todd Young and Mike Braun both voted against capping insulin costs, joining other Republican senators in killing that part of the Inflation Reduction Act. VOTED AGAINST CAPPING THE COST OF A DRUG MANY SENIORS CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT, CANNOT AFFORD AND MUST RATION. This is your Indiana GOP in action, always looking out for the interests of Hoosiers. Oh, wait. I got that wrong. My bad. It’s actually NEVER looking out for the interests of Hoosiers. Always looking out for the interests of Big Pharma.

People! Do not vote for anyone that believes Biden stole the 2020 election. They are either evil, in that they continue to promote what they know is a lie, or they are too ignorant to know differently. Either way, they do not have what it takes to hold public office, i.e. a rational mind.

Republicans are fine with the FBI catching criminals, as long as they are immigrants or minorities, but they don’t want the FBI to catch Trump or any of the criminal sycophants who surround him, and they are legion. Even investigating him is “political,” and if they regain power in November, Republicans will haul Merrick Garland before Congress and impeach him for it. So says Kevin McCarthy, who is positively giddy at the prospect of becoming Speaker of the House and getting to pack committees with the likes of Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz. But really, how can you possibly trust someone who wears brown shoes with a blue suit?

So the Democrats managed to pull off an FBI raid on a past Republican president! Not surprising since the Democrats currently control the FBI. The Republicans need to abandon their prim and proper ethics and use the same dirty politics that their Democrat opponents use or they are never going to survive. We need the Republicans to more than survive to secure the future of the middle class working families of America.

When will we see the $200 refund that was approved by the Indiana legislature last week? Most people, myself included, are still waiting for the $125 we have never received.

Indiana district 95 representative John Bartlett offered an amendment to the anti-abortion bill that would have outlawed the prescription and use of “erectile dysfunction” drugs like Viagra and Cialis. Of course the amendment failed in the overwhelmingly male Indiana legislature, but you can bet a million bucks that the whole bill would have been voted down in a hot minute if that amendment had been included in the final version!
