Sony Music Publishing India signs global deal with Anand Audio

Sony Music Publishing India has signed a worldwide agreement with prominent India-based record label Anand Audio, a specialist in Kannada music.

The deal follow’s Sony Music Publishing’s expansion into India in June 2020.

Sony Music Publishing says that it will “work to deliver new, global opportunities to Anand Audio’s community of songwriters”.

Based in Bangalore, Anand Audio was founded in 1999, and has become one of the largest record labels representing Kannada music.

The company represents over 5,000 tracks, over 700 original Kannada film soundtracks of Kannada Films, and over 1,000 devotional songs.

Anand Audio is also home to one of the biggest Kannada music-centric YouTube channels in India, with over 7 million subscribers and growing.
