So we are back at it, the most crucial question for us ladies. Which is the most effective path to getting silky, smooth, hair-free skin? For years our go-to tools have been either a razor or a waxing strip, but recently a lot of ladies are vouching for the epilator as the best tool for hair removal. And we agree, it combines the benefits of both, a razor and waxing. And for you to make an informed decision, we decided to lay down why we think an epilator is a better option than a razor for hair removal. So, here we go!

An Epilator Removes Hair From The Roots

A razor only cuts the hair at the skin surface, hence you never really get the feeling of silky smooth skin, on the other hand, an epilator removes the hair from the roots just like waxing does, without the hassle of actually applying the sticky hot wax on your skin. This is one of the biggest reasons why girls are choosing an epilator over shaving or waxing.

The Hair Grows Back Slower

Who wants to go through the hassle of taking out the time to shave every three days? Since epilators take the hair off from the roots, it grows back much slower. So, you only need to epilate again post a good three-four weeks’ time. With shaving, hair tends to grow back much faster, leaving you with no other option but to shave every three or four days.

It’s Economical In The Long Run

An epilator calls for a one-time investment and lasts for a years to come without any further costs. All you need is battery to run it and thats barely an expense. Waxing and shaving have recurring costs and when calculated for years together, epilator definitely proves to be the economical choice.
An Epilator Doesn’t Give You Ingrown Hair

One of the most common issues with shaving is that it gives you a lot of ingrown hair that can be itchy and irritate the skin. Since the epilator takes off hair by the root, there are no ingrown hair, saving you from the hassle of plucking each ingrowth separately.
