Isabel Borges died after a motorcycle crash over the weekend.

PORT ST. LUCIE — Linda Lane's memories of Isabel Borges will be filled with nights the duo used to spend dancing at Good Times, a bar in Port St. Lucie.

"She had an awesome personality; I have great memories of her," she said. "She never judged anyone and saw what was inside, not what was outside."

Borges, 58, of the 2500 block of Southwest Hinchman Street in Port St. Lucie, died after a head-on crash Sunday morning.

Deputies charged Christian White, 22, of the 2000 block of North Old Dixie Highway, with vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter and possession of MDMA after he crashed his Honda Civic into Borges' motorcycle.

Borges died at the scene from injuries sustained during the crash, according to the report.

Lane said the two met at Good Times 13 years ago and used to go out and sing together even though neither had good voices.

"We used to go out Wednesday and Sunday nights and do karaoke," she said. "I'm going to miss dancing with her."

Lane said Borges worked at a law firm in Jupiter for several years and enjoyed being with her friends and family, as well as riding on her Harley Davidson motorcycle, "Cherry."

"I'm going to miss everything about her," Lane said. "She always used to fight over me and say she was my wife and that I was cheating on my wife with my husband; it was just a game we played."

Ponch Smith said he knew Borges for about 10 years and met because they both were active in the biker community.

"She's one of those that liked to get up and dance all of the time," he said.

Smith said Borges' was always happy and got along with people.

"I always got a big hug and a kiss from her and all of that," he said. "She's the kind of a person that if it was a dark night, she'd be the bright star in the sky."
