Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar congratulated Bahrain on hosting Fifa’s next congress in Manama on May 11, 2017.
Askar stressed that the Fifa decision indicates the kingdom’s ability to host various high-profile sporting events.
He extended sincere congratulations to the Kingdom’s leadership on the honour conferred on Bahrain. He also congratulated His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and BOC President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the occasion.
Askar added that granting the kingdom the honour to host Fifa’s Congress is a testimony to the global sport community’s confidence in Bahrain’s outstanding ability to organise all major events and high-profile meetings.
