WHAT'S NEW?
The second episode of the Tennessee-based podcast series "Highway See," is now available. This installment reveals how some of Tennessee's major roads came to be and the evolution of corduroy, plank and macadam methods of road-building.
"The idea of Highway See is to share the history behind the roads we all use, with a goal to better understand how roads are crucial to our continual mobility and advancement," said Susie Alcorn, executive director of the Tennessee Infrastructure Alliance and the podcast's creator and executive producer. "Roads are known to not only expand our economy and connect us to faraway places, roads have intrinsically shaped our state."
