Gina Rodriguez almost married Joe LoCicero after the Golden Globes

Ever wear a dress so good, you almost spontaneously get married in it?

That's exactly what happened to Gina Rodriguez while wearing her embellished ice blue Reem Acra gown to this year's Golden Globes. She and fiance Joe LoCicero debated tying the knot post-ceremony, she told USA TODAY on Saturday.

"(At) the Golden Globes, I loved my dress so much. It was the first time that I was like, 'Can I purchase this dress after I wear it? I want to own this dress,'" she said. "And Joe was like, let's just go right now! You're done up, I'm done up. Let's do it!"

Rodriguez laughed. "And then we went to the after parties instead. But it could've been that night! If I didn't have to direct the next day..."

Yep, Gina Rodriguez almost got married in this glam gown.

The "Jane the Virgin" star confirmed in August she was engaged to marry LoCicero, whom she met when he guest-starred in a 2016 episode of the show.

But expect theirs to be a small wedding. "If you tell people you're eloping, that's not really eloping," she mused.

Work-wise, she's in high demand. Rodriguez, 34, is currently directing episodes of the upcoming final season of "Jane the Virgin," and this Friday her Netflix animated series "Carmen Sandiego" drops, with the Latina star voicing the infamous thief.

Joe LoCicero and Gina Rodriguez confirmed their engagement last August.

On the big screen, Rodriguez stars in her first action thriller, "Miss Bala," out Feb. 1.

In other words, she busy.
