CORONATION Street fans were in tears as Shona confuses David's son Max for her evil son Clayton as she wakes up from a coma with memory loss.
It's been heartbreak after heartbreak for the family as Shona was shot during the Christmas winter wonderland violence - leaving her in a coma.

After being told by doctors that they don't know if she'll ever wake from a coma, it seemed like all was well when she did.
However, Shona's problems don't end there - as she appears to have permanent memory damage.
When she woke up, a confused looking Shona told her husband David: "I don't know who you are."
Doctors said they did not know if or when she will recover her memory and suggested transferring her to a specialist unit.

In a desperate bid to get his wife back, David brings his kids Max and Lily in to see her.
She looks at young Max and a flicker of recognition goes off in her eyes.
Shona grabs Max by the hand, who looks excited that she might be coming back to them - but instead of saying his name, she utters the murderous name of her own son: "Clayton."
Viewers were in tears at the turn of events, with one person saying: "The look on David's face Shona thinking Max was Clayton "
