SigAlert: Injury Crash Snarls State Route 24
One person was critically injured in a crash that blocked the eastbound State Route 24 Saturday morning.
WALNUT CREEK, CA — A hit and run crash snarled traffic on eastbound State Route 24 Saturday morning in the Northridge — Lafayette area.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert advising drivers to avoid the area at State Route 24 just west of Oak Hill Road shortly before 7:30 a.m.
According to the CHP, a two-car crash reported at 7:03 a.m. blocked several lanes of the highway. Firefighters were called into help one person trapped in the wreckage. At least one person was in critical condition, according to the CHP.

As of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, the two fast lanes remained blocked but lanes #3 and 4 were reopened.
